Volunteer Your Time
What would an SCCH Volunteer do?
Planned Activities: All volunteer opportunities will be pre-planned based on the ages and needs of the children present. Please be aware that activities may be canceled on short notice due to unexpected changes in the children’s placements.
Confidentiality: Volunteers will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement to protect the privacy and well-being of the children.
Background Check: A Family Care & Safety Registry check will be conducted for all volunteers.
On-Site Activities: All volunteer activities will take place on our premises, with staff present at all times.

Arts and Crafts: Painting, drawing, holiday-themed projects, or DIY crafts.
Story Time: Reading books to younger children or engaging in group discussions for older kids.
Tutoring: Assisting with homework or providing help in specific subjects.
Games and Recreation: Leading board games, card games, or outdoor activities like kickball or basketball.
Skill-Building Workshops: Sharing a skill, such as painting, crocheting, etc.
Music and Movement: Singing, dancing, or introducing basic musical instruments.
